Nina has lost rd 1 in the UFC octagon a total of five times (Lima, Claudia, Tatiana, Markos, and Hill). In each of those five fights, she won rd 3. She has things to work on, sure, but I'd say she's got more grit than any other SW.

Unfortunately, 115 lb. women neither finish each other nor gas out often, so she can't really turn things around without winning rd 2.

Nina is the type of fighter who would thrive in five-round fights. If she gets to that level one day, she could be a different fighter altogether.

before round 3 started I said if it was 5 rounds nina wouldve won. she couldve did a bit more. a couple times she made room to get up bud didnt explode up quite fast enough. nina wouldve killed her in rounds 4 and 5 of they happened

Really tough girl with a lot of heart. I was hoping she'd find a way to win. Glad she had this recent streak, hopefully she keeps fighting.

she fought well, think if it was 5 rounds she would have won. Saurez looks kind of like a Ronda.. Very good at one thing but not well rounded. Nina finished strong though.. Def a good third round

Nina did great in the first two rounds with her grappling but she has work to do to get off the fence or sweep. Amazing performance though for her because she was up against a beast of a grappler. And I agree with ya. I five rounder she gets it done (at least tonight she would have).

If the fight was 30 seconds longer she would have won. A ton of heart and her stand-up looks better than ever.

She's definitely a gamer.

She made female Khabib work for it.

Work on her tdd and she's a winner

She showed how Suarez can be beat. She just took one round too long to figure it out.

This is her first loss since 2014, she's improved a lot at ATT just like her diving partner did

she's a terrible fighter. period. full stop.

I find her charming

Give me your assessment of Claudia Gadelha next.
She is the youngest BJJ black belt in Nova União's history.

Therefore, my assessment is that she is an MMA fighter who has lost her way. Her first 6 of 7 wins were by submission. Then she got a couple of TKOs and started down the road of a striker. Since then, she's all decisions. Claudia is lost potential. Next.

So, she is not a terrible fighter?
Or she just decisively lost to a terrible fighter because she lost her way?

Nina should fight waterson next to get another win then fight Jessica after she beats Tatianna ... i def see nina getting a title shot sometime soon though
