As most of us know by now, Fedor is planning to stay and prepare in Russia for his upcoming fight. Mainly in Stariy Oskol and Moscow, Which means he's not going to Holland to train with the KB team. But there's hope. Fedor is bringing the Dutch kb team to Russia. And he's going to train in a cage.

work on takedowns and sub. That's what would be best vs Mitrione imo.

    A. There weren't any proposals from Fight Nights. On NYE a couple of my teammates will be fighting at the Rizin event: Vadim Nemkov and Valentin Moldavsky. I'm going to fly to Japan and corner them. And we will prepare for those fights together.

Nemkov? Guess that means we know either Natsukawas opponent or one of the reserve match participants (or Fedor is starting to mix up his own teammates).

Fedor knows what he's talking about. It was confirmed by multiple sources in Russia That Nemkov will face HW fighter Alison Vicente on December 29.

Isn't Nemkov too small for HW fights?
Well at least he won't gas harder than his opponent :D

Yeah, he's a light heavyweight. But I don't know at what weight they are going to fight at.

Any word on whether it's a reserve match or a one-off? Also interesting to see that RIZIN are keeping up with their chute boxe cooperation (Efrain, Nascimento, now Vicente).

Vicente isnt a huge heavyweight, plus he makes up for it by being way worse at fighting than Nemkov.

Awesome if true. If it is...then we will have a better idea of what he really has left.

Fedor is exclusively a stand and wang fighter these days so it's best he sharpens his skills. I know he got blasted by Mabobobo but he did surprise me at times with his kicking techniques. He even threw a flying knee ffs and it looked good too. The best his striking looked in the last several years was vs. Monson. Obviously Monson's standup is not his strength in any way but Fedor's actual striking technique looked great. Like a combo of his own style with some new skills mixed in. He was patient too.

Nemkov sucks he is like 1-2 in RIZIN and he lost to light heavy weights so why is he getting a shot ?

It should have been Kiril Sidelnikov who is 2-0 in RIZIN and has a win over Huggy bear

Also Fedor cracks me up "I will keep fighting", "I hope this sweater doesn't break down" Why is he talking like he is some broke ass Russian version of Gary Goodridge? Is he really broke? Was going to religon his way of dealing with all the money he lost/squandered?

No shame in saying it but Meathead will knock him out if he stands. He hits like a tank. One of the hardest punchers and kickers at HW.

He's fast and athletic. When this fight was announced I thought it was a bad matchup for Fedor. Matt can get KO'd too but it's a tough fight. I really don't want Mitrione to win though.

Fedor even at this stage of his career has the ability to KO Mitrione if he lands the big right hand. Mitrione is dangerous as hell and very fast for his size but he is very hittable.

But in a shootout anyone can get KTFO so Fedor will definitely be faced with the same danger. Mitrione is a hard hitter so I hope that Fedor fights a smart fight.

    Q. A championship belt — is there such a goal?

    A. If God is willing.

    He's done.
