Almost sounds like a joke see this stuff.

Jeff parents invested 245,000 in his company in 1995 and that investment is worth 40 billion today.

Jeff needs to spend 28 million a day just so he does not get any wealthier.

Jeff's parents are one of the 50 richest people on the planet.

Donate 2 million a day to a charity.

Jeff would need to buy one of these everyday of his life to just so he does not getting any more money and donate 2 million to a charity.

Most of his wealth is in stock. If you don't cash out on a stock you don't pay taxes on it

I'm meaning more massive wealth accumulation. The top .1% with 60% of the wealth or whatever the stat is today is not good for the economy.

We got rid of royalty and the church controlling the game for a reason.

I guess it’s kind of fortunate for him that his parents had $245,000 to invest in his business. That must be nice.

You pay capital gains on stock you cash out. If it's just sitting there you're not gonna be taxed

I know- my point is that cap gains and inheritance tax will affect him.

I have no idea if Amazon pays dividends but I have to also asume his cash flow is legit .

So I agree with you that the government has gotten way too involved with business. You are making a compelling case why they shouldn't be because you get corrupt deals with trying to bend over backwards to bring Amazon jobs to their area.

This is why Forbes score Jeff 8, Mark Zuckerberg 8 and Bill Gates at 7 for how hard it was to launch their businesses. They all received large up front investment from their families Bill Gates Aunt gave him a million back in the 70's to start Microsoft that would be like 4 or 5 million today dollars. I don't know many people who can get 5 million from their relatives to start businesses. Forbes scores people from like 0 to 9 and I think they where being nice to Bill Gates. Mark Zuckerberg parents where also very well off and obviously Jeff's parents too where well off. When you look at the chart of the Forbes 400 there where a few people who scored a 9 most notably was Larry Ellison who likely could have scored a 10 if it was on the chart. He was adopted lived in subsidized housing in Chicago and went to public schools. Walton scored the lowest they inherited their fortune from Walmart only the brother who went to serve in the Military during Vietnam war scored a 5 or 6 the rest where like 1 or 2.
