I can't believe Soliman is a top guy at 160 pounds.

if they want to have lemieux as a champ might as well give him a shot at the weak belt, he can get a good crowd together and soliman could beat him.

caught the last few rounds, seemed like it was a sloppy fight. Good win for sam, he seems like a nice guy, but a bit disappointed.

I have a feeling this will turn out badly for GGG. Soliman and Geale might be able to shut him out of a title shot by fighting eachother in a regional superfight. Seems Golovkin cant catch a break.

I thought Golovkin vs Geale was basically a done deal.

Last i heard they were still in talks and nothing was finalized.
It makes too much sense for sam to take a big domestic payday versus Geale or even Mundine.

Soliman says he wants Golovkin next.
My guess is if Mundine can knock him out, Golovkin can do it 3x as fast.

Sturm's best days are waaaay behind him, why is he even still boxing? you know its a dead career when your best performance of your career reulted in a loss. Although I thought he won that fight.

That's BS. How is Sturm responsible for that loss? Are you saying should that the state of a boxer depends on the judges decision?

He was still delivering good performances until 2009 but there's a clear deterioration since then. Maybe shouldn't have turned down Freddie Roach although it was understandable in relation to the amount of boxers Roach trains.

No, you basically said he shouldn't box at all because someone bought the judges.

LOL, okay. I don't see him at a high level and able to really compete with world class guys anymore. To me if it's NOT about the money (hypothetically), there's no other reason to compete because it's not like he's world champion material anymore. Thats all Im sayin'.

Very happy for Sam, he's a really nice bloke, I met him down at the local football in Oz once, very happy to chat. Would much rather him represent Aussie boxing to the world than fuckhead Mundine.

Yep, I had a chat to him at st.kilda fest a few yrs ago and walked away thinking what a champion bloke. I also saw a drunk slam his fist on his elderly trainers dave hedgecock bonnet a few yrs back when the drunk walked out into the middle of traffic and expected cars to stop for him

It was opp. Luna park and I was ordering from a thai takeaway when I turned rnd after hearing the commotion. The drunk came running in when he saw the enraged dave leave his car running in the middle of the rd and chased after him into restaurant. Drunk was cornered so threw a sh.itty lopping hook which dave got in under in a flash, hit him with either a short uppercut or head butt and the drunk
