SoCal Residents: Whoring out my food blog..

Cool. My older brother is actually one of the founders of Kroft. They are opening a 2nd location at the Tustin Union Market in a couple days.
I love these new hipster food courts.

So much better than the usual grubby Panda express, Sbarro & Orange Julius Mall junk spots.

Kroft serve quality comfort food. Your brothers doing well, congrats!

Las Vegas residents: Don't go to Sammy's Pastrami.

Whore-ably overpriced for what you get. Tasty sandwiches, can't lie. But should be about half the price.

I'm not a fancy pants who cares much about "service" or "atmosphere" (your regular taco truck suits me fine) but this place is absolutely sub-standard.

I had the best philly cheese steak in Vegas but I can't remember the name of the place. It was off the strip in a strip mall. They only served philly's and there was a huge pot with the fillings and a guy stirring it the whole time I was there.

You should have a companion blog called dank weed where you go to clinics try and review their buds. That way ur site will have everthyibg. Dank weed and dank food for ur munchies

lol believe it or not I used to do that for websites like weedmaps and weedtracker.
Unfortunately, it gets you unwanted attention from feds :icon_sad:

was hoping for more OC spots but still a nice blog

I'll book mark it and check it from time to time

Updated with a few more. Any suggestions you guys have I'll bookmark for the future.

Cool idea and content, but something about the website name is off putting.

Voluntarily living in in the fucking furnace that is Southern California

Why?

Where is the best ramen in SoCal?

I have two personal favorites:

Santouka Ramen:

They have two locations, one in Culver City and the other in Carson. I always get the Shio (salt base) or Shoyu (soy sauce) ramen with the pork bowl. The broth here is the BEST you'll get outside of Japan. Thick ramen noodles served al dente.

Yamadaya Ramen:

This spot only seats maybe 12 people total and gets full fast. Unlike most ramen spots, they hook it up FAT with meat. They also provide fresh garlic to crush into your ramen. My goto dish is the Yamadaya ramen with Kotteri broth (garlic pork bone broth). You also have the choice of thick or thin ramen, although I prefer it thick.

All that's missing is dank hoes.

Santouka Ramen has two locations in OC as well. one in Costa Mesa and the other one in Irvine. My favorite ramen in socal.

Bludso's BBQ in Compton is my personal favorite after Phil's.

There's this ice cream shop that has a lot of hype called Afters ice cream which they fill unique ice cream flavors in a glazed donut. I haven't personally tried it but heard mostly great things about it

The Tustin Union Market have some shops opening up as well

Hell yeah +1 for the Yamadaya Ramen, that shit is so good make you wanna slap your supervisor when you go to lunch. It is a small place though.

det hella dank dute

Back in the 90s, people from SoCal used to always make fun of us NorCal folk for saying Hella. Now it seems they are trying to claim that shit for themselves. Make no mistake Hella users. That shit originated in Northern California.

This has been a Soda Popinsky public service announcement.

Website name is childish, imo.

Should just call it TS's name.food blog or something, but that is just my opinion.

Good luck, TS on the blog and I hope you can start generating some income off it.

Bludso's is awesome. Their spicy bbq sauce is straight up heavenly. I used to go there when they were just a window.

They skimp on the salmon roe now. Half is with salted salmon and roe. It made me super sad :(

Those dishes look amazing.

I enjoy reading food blogs. I dont know why but I have taken pics of food I have made for several years and the relatives poke fun. I am not really a good cook but its fun anyway.

I have followed this one lady from australia off and on for years. You could poke around on her site and maybe get a few ideas.
