So I never really write stories about training, usually just a comment on how fun it is etc...I never say who I tapped, or how I did..I don't like to be specific, it's silly and to...BMA_Mat for me.
But I have a question about a technique I encountered tonight.
I was rolling with a rather large purple belt and I played in his guard for a while, he tried some sweeps but I stayed pretty tight..then he tried some strange collar chokes...still nothing to bad..I gurgled a bit on one...so then I can tell he is getting a bit unhappy...
So I finally go for a more high risk move as it is getting pretty slow and uneventful and I end up getting swept, and he gains side control...I start to work to regain half guard and he places his palm blade into my eye socket with the other hand behind my back and basically pushed directly onto my eye...(as if pushing my eye back into my skull), so I mumbled to him.."dude that's my eye there" and he starts pushing harder...
So I tap because I don't want my eye to end up lost in my sinuses somewhere.
I sit up and say politely...what was that man? That hurt my eye.
And he says something like.."oh that is a move...puts pressure on the sinus there"
So we roll again...after about 5 more minutes he does it again...this time I got a little pissed..I mean this is my eye..so i reach up and grab his wrist and he starts pressuring harder with body weight...so I grabbed all of his fingers and peeled his hand off my eye...
which he immediately started saying "No! No! No" "Don't grab my fingers!" loud enough for everyone to hear and gets all huffy...
Is this normal...
is pressuring the eye something i should expect...I have done no-gi on and off for about 2 years and I've never had anyone do this....This is, however, my second month of gi and I see alot of things I've never seen before...
It just seemed....dickish to me..
