What do you think. Will there be a womens TUF in future? Team Ronda vs Team Meisha. UFC needs to build the division anyway.

I think they will build through Invicta. They already have a partnership on some level.

No where near enough decent talent out there for that, especially at a comparable weight class. We are still a good 3-5 years out of event having this conversation. Hell the UFC can barely find enough decent talent now to act like they are filling a division and that's after having basically free reign to cherry pick to top fighters out there.

I wouldn't be against it, but it would be hard to fill an entire roster with unknowns. Half the show's cast would have to be established fighters for it not to be embarrassing to watch.

I don't think the level of WMMA is high enough to do a TUF show. I really see it being a bad idea at this time. Give it some time to build up some more talent and revisit this idea in the future.

Fair enough and i don't think most fans like this idea anyway but i find it hard to believe a women's TUF could flop. I mean c'mon, girls fighting on television. Well its probably too early i guess.

I think a women's TUF would do well even if the talent level wasn't great. The HW TUF with Kimbo was the highest rated season of TUF and those were the worst fights of all time. At the very least it would inject some new blood into the division.

The fights would probably end up being mediocre which means that fans like myself wouldn't find it very interesting. But it would be jam packed full of drama, and that will attract a lot of other audiences, it should easily be the most watched season of TUF so far.

Whether or not that is good in the long run for MMA, that I can't answer.

The house would need soooooo many bathrooms.

In all seriousness I dont think enough talent is there to make it "must watch" television.

the amount of estrogen pouring from male TUF shows is overwhelming. maybe female TUF will show plenty of testosterone for a change :)

I'd like the idea. I think it would be a little better if it was Rousey v. Cyborg, though (true rivalry/bad blood) which would mean in a few years. This has some upsides, namely the talent pool will be growing and the show won't be filled with already pros.

After Rio Olympics will be a very interesting time (Kayla Harrison and Marti Malloy are set to come over)

Co-ed TUF. Bantamweight, half men half women with one winner per gender. Then the lack of female talent wouldn't be as much of a problem since there won't be as many spaces to fill.

Although I can also see that as the kind of circumstance where unexpected problems could arise.

So did you enjoy TUF Brasil?
"I just won the fight" *starts crying profusely*
"I just lost the fight" *starts crying profusely*
"I just got picked to fight" *starts crying profusely*
"I used to be picked on in school" *starts crying profusely*
"Thanks to Gillette shave gel I just got the closest shave I've ever had" *starts crying profusely*
"Thanks for the energy bars Wandy" *starts crying profusely*

There is no market for female MMA right now. Rousey is popular and people want to see her fight Cyborg. You can't build a sport on that. I confess I don't watch a lot of female MMA , maybe there is talent coming down the pike but right now, there is Ronda and there is Cyborg. There isn't a single other fight that people care about. If you put an all womens MMA card and didn't have that fight, you would not get 10,000 buys.

Co-Ed TUF would actually be brilliant for the TV ratings. Particularly since there'd be some folks hooking up in the house and drama related to that.

If you think the ratings for TUF are low now, I can only imagine how badly this will do, unless they just get a bunch of hot chicks who can barely fight to star.

Basically a whole group of girls that look like this would be needed for there to be any shot of success.

I agree that the division needs to be built, and a women's TUF might be a good way of helping with that.
