I got KOed on the weekend, a flash KO, right on the chin. It was my second fight.

Anyone else gone through this? What did you do after the KO, and how long before you started sparring again?

It sucks, I hope it doesn't happen again!

I've been KO'd, but it was self inflicted. I thought I was a hardass and punched myself right on the button and knocked myself out cold.

I always wondered if that was possible, appearently so.

I sparred the next day though.

I have been knocked silly, but not KO'd, from sparring a couple times. Left High Kick right to the head, completely lfucked my equilibrium up and knocked me on my ass, but I got right up. I really didn't like the feeling too much.......

me not yet, but ill try that self knock out technique lol

i was sparring with a training partner and we were going not hard at all, he caught me right on the chin, i dont remember going down, just my ass hitting the floor and wondering what the fuck happened, i then slammed him and choked him out

I got punched in the forehead realy hard and it all went black, all i can remba is liein on the ropes wonderin wot the fuk append, i was sparing 2 days after tho i was realy fukin nervy bout it happening again lol.

I was KO'd in my second muay thai fight. It wasn't a particularly hard shot but right on the button. Because it wasn't a hard punch, I did start to doubt my chin and when sparring again I was a little gun-shy and defensive at first. However after taking a few good shots, and staying up, I soon got back into it again.

In some ways getting KO'd early on was the best thing that happened to me since it gave me the incentive to work really hard on defense, and since then I don't take nearly as many shots as before.

Is it true that it's easier to get knocked out again once it's happened to you?

Also, i thought it was not recommended to risk another blow to the head within a certain time frame as you can cause permanent brain damage, hence the reason why pro fighters are often banned from fighting for a while after a KO

I have taken high kicks and punches and still haven't been KO'ed or rocked.

Been rattled hard but not out cold. Hopefully never but i figure it could happen anytime

yes and its strange you just blank out and you can see your self crashing down almost but you cannot move...your head spins like crazy as well.

I heard the scariest Ko's are the concussive ones like sean salmon, crocop, nate quarry, roy jones jr because they damage your brain everytime.

I find it's interesting cos before I'd taken much harder shots and still stayed standing.

This punch wasn't even that hard, from what I heard. It just must have been really well timed.

Now I know why they say 'protect your chin'.

yea lol almost anyone can get knocked out....cept hunt and fedor

Ive never been knocked down, but Ive been rocked. I saw the blinking lights, and the only thing I could think to myself was "wow, this is just like the cartoons, when they get nailed and see stars".

I haven't got knocked out. I have been hit hard enough all my teeth hurt for like a week.

nope but i got kicked in the balls in a fight or a spar.. and i got knocked down.

If the knockout resulted in a concussion yes. I have had two major concussions in mountain biking accidents and since then my chin has never been the same.

Then you forgot how to spell ? Dude go to the doctors office and get a CAT Scan something was shaken loose man.

I got hit in the forehead with a bat, I was dazed pretty bad and had a hardcore gash + concusion but I didn't go down until the paramedic strapped be to a stretcher. I have been rocked by punches before but I have never been put out or down for that matter.

Getting rocked by a blunt object is not fun and I don't recommend it.
