I'm not bashing neither Cain or jds but I'm just curious what impressed you guys more. 64 second knockout vs. 25 minute domination. Also how do you think the rubber match will go?
25 minute ass kicking is impressive, but JDS put Cain to sleep. He turned his lights off. There is no greater win than that imo.
Cain was never out. It was a TKO, IMO. Both were impressive. I hope Overeem gets the next shot against Cain while JDS fights either Cormier, Barnett, or Werdum.
Juniors win for me ,he may of been dominated last night but he showed the heart of a champion by not giving up and fighting out of the armbar etc, Cain got tagged and just rolled over when the going got tough
This. The inability to finish definitely took away from the domination (which was much less so in the later rounds)
This is true, he could have killed Cain that night. Same can't be said for last night. Anyway, you really can't definitively compare the two, just like you can't compare an MMA fight to a street fight. In a street fight, JDS can eye gouge, and use walls to keep a fight standing. JDS got his ass handed to him, but he still had life in him till the end of round five.
uuh yes he was. He went limp twice then recovered when the ref jumped in. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junior_dos_Santos Edit, you are just plain wrong. Its recorded as a KO. You have lost the privilege to quote me.
The 25 minute ass kicking is more impressive. The knockout is impressive too though, it's not that one is and one isn't.
Better question is: After seeing both fights, who would you bet money on to win in the third match up?
Ya, this is how I look at MMA. JDS would have been alive but battered, Cain would have been dead. Which one would you choose?
Cain, though JDS should adjust and work on a gameplan to counter that initial blitzing style Cain had. I wish JDS would win it, I just doubt he will.
Finishing is always more impressive, but a 25 minute domination is pretty close. The difference is, when someone is finished, they can't continue. After 25 minutes, JDS could still fight. But both are very impressive. I don't know who I'd bet on the 3rd. Cain went back and retooled after his loss, I assume JDS will do the same. When two young fighters are 1-1, then its hard to predict who wins the 3rd.
