It'd be nice to have a list of guys that currently aren't booked in another event or aren't suspended, on downtime etc. just so we could speculate realistically which fights may make it to the UFC 200 card. Already we have Conor confirmed for a UFC 200 return which he will be part of the co-main at LEAST, Cain Velasquez vs Travis Browne which is a nice addition though probably won't make co-main or main.

I'd say Edgar is likely to show up for the event but they will be bugging Aldo to make a return as a priority - he has had a terrible track record for showing up though so it's nice to see that there is a equally interesting backup plan if necessary.

So who else does that leave open?

Anderson Silva is out, he will be facing Uriah Hall for UFC 198 which honestly would have made a great UFC 200 addition, but seeing that it didn't I can only surmise that something better or more relevant to the title picture is in the works. No Jon Jones, though after his UFC 197 fight if he wins easily he COULD potentially want to get back in to defend his belt right away, perhaps against Anthony Johnson - that is the fight everybody wants to see and could easily make main or co-main.

Some have speculated GSP could be returning for UFC 200, he has been awfully quiet about his potential return he has sid to be open to, and if there was a time for an epic return UFC 200 would be perfect. Again, could be main or co-main. Lawler seems the obvious choice but even if won the belt back, I doubt he'd go on to defend it some more he would probably once again retire and vacate the belt - easily cementing his legacy as an all time great.

So who else is there? Please share your thoughts and explain your reasoning.

How's BJ Penn's investigation going?

Would love to see BJ starch Lentz if he doesn't duck, or if he does, vs Siver.

I honestly forgot that BJ Penn is even still with the ufc. But yeah, it could work and BJ definitely needs to take a step down in the level of competition he faces as he has slowed down tremendously and it would be painful to watch him lose some more fights. Lents is a winnable fight for sure but not a gimmi.

Today rumor about
Cain Vs Browneyes
Mousasi vs Brunson

I think the 170,155 & 145 title are more than possible.
My Guess
Conor Vs Aldo2/Edgar
Rda Vs Khabib/Ferguson winner
Lalwler Vs T-Wood or Condit if ready
Nate on the card would make sense.
Eddie Alvarez had a big win vs Pettis last time.
Big Country available. good fan base.
Gustaffson got nothing either.
Rumble might wait for Jones

Need Gsp's return imo... like for real

The only fight I would like for BJ is Gomi tbh...

I'd be really surprised if it's not GSP v Lawler. I don't see for the life of me any other reason they wouldn't have booked Lawler v Stephen Thompson.

If Glover beats Rashad, maybe Rumble/Glover to open up the main card.

All sounds great to me. Roy will be there for sure on the undercard at least. Probably we will see Donald Cerrone show up somewhere in there as well.. Faber perhaps he usually fights often as he can.

Sage and Paige could be looking for comebacks.. Pettis as well.

In terms of title fights, the only champions who will not have fought within 2 and a half months of UFC 200 are McGregor, Dos Anjos, Lawler, and Tate.

The biggest card they could conceivably put on now would include Tate vs Rousey, McGregor vs Edgar and Diaz/Lawler vs GSP.

Johny Hendricks VS Tyron Woodley or Kelvin Gastelum

It depends on your definition of realistic. I would assume fighters might make exceptions that they might not otherwise in order to be on this card. I think the biggest fight to make would be Jones challenging for the HW belt. That isn't too big a stretch for Jones, but the Werdum/Stipe winner would have a 7 week turnaround. I don't think that is unrealistic if you consider that they would be in the main event of the biggest PPV ever in a Champion vs Champion superfight. They would both be in top shape and neither have to worry about weight cutting.

I think Jones vs Werdum or GSP vs Lawler are the only main events worthy of UFC 200 at this point. Unless DC pulls off the upset and then Jones vs DC III would work as well.
