Silva had the better UFC career. Unquestionably.
Not exactly "unquestionably", since the 3 guys before you and the 2 after all picked GSP.
But thanks for your vote.
I think we need a new GOAT poll. Fedor has always won those as far as I remember and I think Silva used to be a close second. I think Fedor will win with a greater margin, GSP or Jones will come in as second/third now and Silva may go even lower than Aldo.
It would be interesting, with
-Aldo being so unpopular right now because of the Conor legions of "0.99 pure Irish" fans.
-Jones being out of the sport for an unknown time frame. For all we know he might not have his next fight until 2 years from now on... that + his extremely bizarre levels of testosterone found during his surprise test. People are getting suspicious.
-Fedor coming back to MMA
-Silva pissing hot
It shakes things up quite a bit. These polls are basically popularity contests, if you included Conor McGregor in a serious "official" annual Sherdog p4p poll he would steal so much points...
-Jones has always been openly disliked by MMA fans, his Sherdoge fanbase was already very small for such an elite fighter, but with all the stuff he's done recently (no, not this kind of "stuff") his popularity reached a new low.
Wait he does have one fan left, that dude with the avatar of him kicking Gus and the signature that reads "Jones barely trained for the Gus fight" and the rounds he believe Jones won in the Gus fight, and who tells everyone to get over the Gus fight already.
-Anderson pissing hot has led many fans to wonder if he has been juicing since the PRIDE days; since the Silva faction pre-caught red-handed always, in an attempt to discredit Fedor (who has always passed the Sambo drug tests, which are even stricter than the current UFC's) always hammered that PRIDE didn't test and blablabla...
They kinda shot themselves in the foot with that argument.
"Let's say Anderson was the only clean guy in PRIDE then! Wow that really solves all our problems... also the Chonan fight was clearly a fix because yakuza"
I'd be curious to see the new results as well. I think Fedor takes it, then GSP, then Silva, Jones, and Aldo last.
Maybe Werdum will make an entrance with his recent demolition of Cain V?
Weird to think that not that long ago Barao was in the mix... :icon_conf
