they should force conor to vacate the title, he stuck the whole game its crazy.
who knows if he'll stay at 155 or move up to 170. can't undersatnd why ufc allowing it.
 
The only person he really needs to beat in the division right now is Edgar and it's highly possible he can defend the FW title at UFC 200. I think Conor's plan is to defend both belts at the same time.
 
It's stuck in the mud, and you better pray 155 doesn't suffer the same fate because if Conor wins the belt and goes after WW, it will.
 
I expect Conor's next fight to be at FW. The WW talk is still just kind of ridiculous to me...

I don't even think he's serious when hinting at it. His coach John Kavanagh made a joke about the press blowing it out of proportion on twitter a week or two ago.

I think ultimately vacating is the long term plan. I think they're just keeping the strap on him to help promote his fight with rda better as a champion vs champion bout, and a chance at a ufc first of a man holding 2 belts at once. If he managed to win, i could see him vacating the FW belt shortly after the victory so that FW could continue on as normal with only a few month hold up. If he loses however. Not sure what the plan is. He had a hard time making FW as it was, and it seems he's bulked up to fight rda. So it's gets a lot more complicated in the event of a loss.
 
None of the weight classes below 155 have ever been big draws. It's not like he's holding up the welterweight division.
 
Conor needs to defend the FW title at least once, it adds legitimacy when a champ defends their belt. I'd be disappointed if he vacated the title, and the WW move is too premature.

Aldo should take a fight with Holloway, Frankie can make some scratch training sultans while he waits for the Conor fight at UFC 200.
 
Conor could stay inactive at FW for 2 years and still generate more money for the division than they could make on their own.
 
The last title fight in that division was 3 month ago.
No need to complain yet.
If nothing happens in another 3 months, there should be words.
 
If McGregor loses to RDA, and is fit to fight, he'll rematch aldo or fight Frankie at UFC 200. Not a bad turnaround for title fights.

If he beats RDA, he'll probably challenge for the WW belt at UFC 200, and vacate the FW belt.
