Anyone heard anything new?

Is he going to Bellator, UFC, or returning at all?

Will the GOAT return?

Un frère gots ta get paid.

hope he goes to bellator along with larkin and story

Yeah, he lobbied against them. And for testing. But, there were too many cheating fucks back, then.

He should stay away. Still too many getting caught.

I think he'll come back for one more big money fight (likely against Silva) now that USADA's around.

If he doesn't comeback by the end of the year he never is

He was on radio last week (Quebec City, CHOI Radio X)

Basically, what he said: The main culprit at the moment preventing him from making a comeback in the UFC is the Reebok deal. He said his sponsors always been there for him, always been loyal to him and that it's important for him to be able to represent them... but the UFC won't allow him to, and is not willing to compensate him for the financial loss either. (in other words, Reebok pays peanuts to fighters)

He also said he's happy to see new guys like McNugget make more money than him, but he also thinks they deserve (the new guys) even more money considering how much the UFC makes and is worth. He thinks McGregor is underpaid

The radio host asked him "you're worth $15m dollars (I doubt this number) and that's a lot of money, but considering how much the UFC is worth, and the way you helped to build it with guys like Anderson Silva, I feel some money is missing from your bank account?!"

GSP replied that he was right, and he compared his situation (and Silva's situation) to older hockey players (Guy Lafleur) in the NHL who weren't paid the money they deserved too back in the days. He added that for legends like Couture, Coleman, etc. it was even worse than for him or Silva, so things are changing slowly.

He also came back on why he retired and he said he didn't have the motivation and the will to fight anymore at that time because of the way the UFC dealt with PED usage, and also because of issues he had in his personal life and issues he had with Dana White at that time (he didn't elaborate on the nature of these issues though).

He said the PED usage problem probably still exists but it's better than it was 2-3 years ago. He also said the UFC tried to "fix" that problem "its own way" and he doesn't think that was the best way to do it, but better than nothing.

Finally, he said he felt better than ever, he trains as hard as before, he feels better now mentally and physically than he did 3 years ago, and he's very motivated to fight again. He's also aware that it must happen very soon because of his age. He's more afraid of not having the opportunity to fight again and regret it in 10 years, than to come back to test himself and lose.

Almost forgot: They asked him if he could do 155 to fight McGregor: GSP said that, physically, it's something possible for a superfight, but that's it. He said his health has always been more important than his career and that he doesn't believe in extreme weight cut, so if he does 155, that will be a one shot deal. That's not something he's willing to do repeatedly. He also mentionned Bisping was interested to fight him, and he didn't close the door to that fight either

I understand French and that was probably one of the best GSP interviews I've heard. Funniest part: During the interview, GSP says he's in his car, going to Toronto. And at some point you can hear him stop in a rest area and take a piss o_O:D

He makes more money not fighting

His Under Armour sponsor doesn't allow him to wear Reebok

Seems like an Anderson Silva - GSP superfight could happen if Anderson doesn't look bad at UFC 208. Anderson wants it.

But you can't beat Sexy Jesus' answer.

He would lose so much money with the Reebok deal, I can understand why it's a dealbreaker for him.

Even retired GSP seems to train harder than many on the active roster.

GOAT

Hes still waiting for more stringent drug testing.

“I’m not a rat and I’ll never go public and name names to reporters. My only hope is that we deal with this [PED] problem,” St-Pierre told reporter Kevin Dubé. “I hope if one thing comes out of this, it’s that testing will be done more stringently.”

“It’s one of the reasons why I stopped,” St-Pierre told RDS.ca. “Not really to [teach] them a lesson, because it penalizes me, too. But I wanted to do something for the sport that I love. I see the direction in which it goes, and I think it makes no sense. This is stupid.”

USADA bless!
