So trump did the trump rally thing in Florida with the help of americas most honest man,don king. What looked to be a 2016 presidential campaign ,was actually the sitting presidents current rally. Bizarre is the best adjective I can come up with on this one. I mean complete with "blacks for trump2020" signs and all. With A month in and administration that doesn't know it's head from its ass,a campaign rally presser is by far the weirdest thing to do right now.

Was it a do over attempt because of the official press conference failure?
Was it to help bolster support with his base?
Don king..really lol
What the hell was the point? Lol...I'm so confused.

It is bizarre, you're right, but you're going to see more of this.

Trump revels in adulation, that much is obvious. He loves being popular, or the illusion of being popular. Note how he constantly references TV ratings, crowd sizes, poll numbers, popular vote (voter fraud!), etc. He has a mental conflation of popularity, adoration, and personal value.

It's going to be a wild ride as his approval slowly erodes (as it does for all politicians, sorry Trump fans). He's already pretty unpopular, I think we will see some crazy self-aggrandizing behavior.

I wonder if people asking this question really want an answer (because it should be obvious) or if it's something they see as intrinsically indefensible and thus an opportunity for criticism

I think it's being asked for the reason I stated. Obama campaigned. Trump was, um, doing the same thing, but Trumpsters will call it_______.

The media is constantly attacking Trump and us deplorables for being racist bigots.

Sometimes you need a pep talk and encouragement when the world is against you.

I don't entirely get your point. It seems you're either 1) trying to defend Obama or 2) make the case that Trump supporters are hypocrites. Maybe you're attempting both - though neither are an answer to the OP's question

Quit crying you whiny bitch.

His entire business model was based on self promotion and building his personal brand. Does he actually know how to do anything else?

Surely someone in his administration would tell him sir this isnt good idea or tell him lay low on the tweets. Spicer didnt help him saying it was campaign rally either

All @ripskater does is cry and whine. He just spent 8 years doing just that and now continues to cry because his new father is being hurt by the media and the general public who loathes him.
