so what made Woodley became the aggressor this fight?

Was it because he was not the favorite? I expected him to wait and counter, but dude went hot right off the bat. Nice performance. Wasn't disappointed and yes, i paid for this ppv too
He wasn't. He dropped Till with a counter combination. The different was Till was reckless and/or got caught. Tyrone always had crazy power and he faced a straight up going forward muay thai boxer instead of a point karate guy or ground specialist this time.

Till said Woodley was aggressive because Tyron deep down was scared of him.

Bit rich coming from the guy who landed one punch in 9 minutes.

Honestly kind of seemed that way. Like he bought into the hype a bit. Either way woodley looked awesome.

Did any of you watch the fight? Outside of the opening sequence Woodley circled and countered.

I don’t think people mean he ran at him windmilling. The difference is he progressed this fight rather than content to just circle and counter like he has done since winning the belt.

1- he fought basically the same fight he always fights. Pick his moments and explode, often backing to the fence and then releasing successive shots when he couldn't go back anymore.

2- it helps if your opponent doesn't throw shit. Till flat out did not come to fight. Landed nothing. Did literally zero damage. Zero significant strikes on fightmeteric (for what that is worth but for a 9.5 min fight landing nothing is telling).
This basically made Woodley the aggressor by default. He still backed up most of the fight. It was two guys trying not to lead but Woodley was at least willing to throw hands. Till seemed to be waiting for a moment that never came. (Or that he didn't survive long enough to see) .

1/3 fights Tyron goes bezerk.

Just bad timing for thick boy Till.

Till was the aggressor

the finish sequence was started by Till,
he attacked with an uppercut,
but Woodley had perfect range management, and was just out of reach when Till was loading his right hand,
Woodley was too fast and landed a devastating counter right, perfectly timed

so it was a counter attack finish rather than an offensive approach

What do you consider the aggressor TS? Till was pressuring Woodley, and Woodley countered. Holy shit does anyone know what they're watching?

I think he was scared. Not of Till as an opponent, but to lose to a 25 year old who’s been telling you you’ve had your day.

I really dont think Woodley bought the hype at all. He looked so confident in there.

He opened up the toolbox on Till like he was some random in the gym. Legs kicks, straights to the body, he was wrapping him up, smacking him with the right, he even threw a fucking headkick. Woodley knew he had so much more experience. I dont think he felt threatened in the slightest. I think people really do underestimate how smart/skilled/well trained Woodley is.
I agree. Woodley seems so smart it makes me like him less. Just being honest

He wanted to close the range at all times. It was in the embedded training or some video I watched

He had to make the far bigger Till work hard to tire him out, couldn't sit back and get picked off. Woodley looked great.

Does anyone here watch fights? Woodley wasn't the aggressor, not even close. Till was

Not a chance. he doesn't give a fuck in reality. He's making like 4 -6 times the money cause he holds the belt.
He fights for money so he can retire comfortably and take care of his family. He's 36 years old, he doesn't give a fuck if you think he's boring so long as he's cashing checks.
He definitely cares because he brings it up, but he also explains why and his reasoning behind the boring fights.

maybe. yet where was the fight iq against wonderboy. i mean they both watched each other too wary of a potential flash ko.
There was alot more going on in that fight than that. It's may have seemed boring, but there were constantly jockeying for position and trying to set traps for each other.

He realised he was fighting a can

Didn't have to worry about karate "point fighting" or getting caught while worrying about it nor did he have to worry about finding himself in a brabo- Till just brings it and we now probably know T-Wood likes that type of opponent.

When he looks to pick shots, he gets tagged by tall guys a bit. But Maia and Thompson have no punching power, so he can take those random 1-2s and just wait to clobber them with his right hand. Till was tall and has 1 punch KO power, so Woodley had to fight a bit differently. It's also why I think he's going to have a lot of trouble vs Usman. Usman is tall, has KO power, and brings speed to the equation, thus limiting even that newfound aggression's ability to avoid being punched at range.
