Both companies seem dull and dated

WSOF putting on a card every two months
Bellator merging MMA with TNA to sell fights
Bellator no real stars
WSOF best fighters are fighting garbage men
Bellator Kimbo vs Shamrock
Neither can do a PPV

It just seems like both companies have been around for a while now I would have expected more growth watch them move from far underground status to actually competing with the UFC. Maybe they are just not in ways I can see. I thought Viacom would be able to help by basically owning all entertainment and having lots of money.

But I just do not care to watch a Bellator card in it's entirety.
I always used to DVR and watch WSOF the next day but now I hardly do that.

I'm far from a Zuffa zombie I think Dana is terrible thats why I'd like to see these other companies put heat on him

Personally I've always liked WSOF but Bellator has always seemed off like a 2005 ufc fight card.

What do you guys think they can change to move up to the big leauges? Or am I wrong and they are moving up. Is the UFC really a monopoly?

Not loving Scott Coker's Bellator. His "stars" were built by Bjorn Rebney or UFC. He hasn't had much time yet, but I don't see Tito vs. Bonnar or Shamrock vs. Kimbo as the right direction.

Honestly, I don't see how WSOF is any better than Titan FC.

One Championship is the most interesting, but I don't know how to watch their cards.

We can say the problem is mma

Ufc signs cm punk is dying for lesnar
Only has 3 real stars
Does way too much events the fact maia vs laflare is a main event is a joke
U laugh at kimbo I give u cro cop vs gonzaga as a main event in 2015
The ufc has built one star recently since gsp and when tuf was booming other stars were built in other orgs that is Connor McGregor

The ufc is dull as shit and the real threat is not bellator or wsof its pbc boxing which is now on NBC ABC CBS ESPN showtime bet spike TV NBC sports they r the real threat to ufc.

And bellator is keeping future stars they just signed liam to a long term pit bull is next. You have to give coker some damn time haters let's give him more then two of his big events b4 we write him off.

The problem with them is simply MMA is a very expensive venture and only one company in the history had proving to make it viable.

Bellator being owned by Spike/Viacom is good n bad. Good side is they have the money and the media outlet to grow the product. Bad side is Viacom isn't in the business of waiting years to see returns on investment. They want and need the instant return on there investment quickly. TV world moves on quickly from sinking ships. There a publically traded company that has to answer to investors. Bellator's biggest problem will always be how much they can get from advertisers vs the cost of the show. MMA needs stars to draw ratings. But stars quickly add cost to each show. It's a very fine balancing act and very tough if not impossible to pull off.

WSOF.....I'm not sure they're even worth talking about at this point. There is enough rumors around that there basically holding on by a thread. Won't surprise me or I think most if they didn't make it out of 2015.

Reality is like in most sports there is one power house and every one else is peanuts in comparison. WAR was won by Zuffa and chances are very high moving forward nothing more than small orgs will come and go through the years. Every once in awhile we may get an entertaining card or two but big picture will usually be a yawn.

WSOF is trying to stay afloat at this point.

Bellator is trying to grab big ratings quick because Viacom is looking to cut back on spending after they had a rough 2014. That's why we're getting fights like Kimbo-Shamrock, which will sadly be top 2 in best rated shows for Bellator.

If I'm Bellator, I'm concentrating on grabbing young, cheap talent to grow inside the organization. Also, maybe add a 5th fight on main cards to get some of their prospects a bit more shine. Stop putting guys like Barn Cat on the prelims. Also concentrate on getting guys like Will Brooks, Joe Warren, Liam McGeary, and Brandon Halsey as many fights as possible. Keep them visible. Put guys like Lins, McCrory, Koreshkov, MVP, Primus, and Caldwell on cards like Kimbo-Shamrock which will do a big audience despite what else is on the card.

But one good sign is bellator will try to sign big names they made ufc over pay gilbert Melendez they will make them way over pay Brock so this at least gives the fighters options and they will get bigger contracts from the ufc. One fc is doing good there running a lot of Asia building local stars.

Let's give bellator time liam and Daley can be big stars with there UK back ground Joe schilling and venom page r future stars. King mo Tito still have a few big fights left in them. There building for the future with guys like pinco. Wsof just needs to make a actual world series do something different.

UFC doesn't seem dull and dated to you?

Too much fan boys here they don't realize ufc is boring right now. More worried about filling arenas then the product they put out. I would say ufc lost like 50 percent of their fans since the boom period.

Pbc boxing is taking over and if a fertita like guy got ahold of glory they would blow up and be real competition for the ufc. I think spike has made out well pbc boxing, glory kick boxing, and bellator nice line up

Ufc is dying bottom line

Bellator and WSOF arent the UFC, sooner stop trying to put them on that level the better off everyone will be.

WSOF is what is it, they really cant do anymore. Bellator I think when Coker came and they said less events and stacked cards they really failed to live up to that so far.

Bellator were snapping up a tonne of great prospects, putting on quality shows and becoming a serious contender. Now with Viacom and Scott Rebney buying up all the dinosaurs at astronomical prices, who even knows.

WSOF have always been a shell company.

lol, I dont even like UFC at all, like signing CM Punk, freqent shit cards despite their monopoly or just the fact that 4 out of the 5 best grapplers at 170 are no there for not being just bleed enough...but you are delusional

I won't say its boring.

But I would say some of it is getting a little old.

As fans we sometimes forget that the UFC is contracted to put on "X" amount of shows outside of the PPV's. Plus injuries have plagued events for the last few years. There is going to be some great cards and some shitty cards. We are getting more free MMA then ever before so enjoy it.

FYI.........I don't think the UFC is anywhere near dying. You had a down year on PPV's in 2014 and that is the only thing you can point to as being down. So far in 2015 there doing great. But I'm sure they'll have some duds events coming up. But we all have to remember if the UFC really felt the need they could pull back to 8 stacked PPV's and be fine. Over the years the UFC has been doing everything they can to not have to rely solely on PPV revenue and they done a great job at that and continue to do a great job.
