No one is opposed to fighters making more. Just opposed to some arbitrary standard of what fair means. Does bellator pay fair? Wsof? Rizin?

Well - all that misconception is caused by the fact that Dana kept calling UFC sport. When all signs were to the contrary. Its entertainment. There is no clear path to no 1 spot, rankings are bullshit, there is no clear pay structure, sponsorship is retarded and so on. Its badly run entertainment hence the miscommunication . Until now it was - u get the following u get the money - fuck rankings and actual skill/performance. Therefore newcomers and unpopular fighters like Finch and for example got payed peanuts. Not to mention really retarded exclusive contracts. My best guess under new management they will move it one way or another meaning it will be run like proper league or entertainment.

Consider minor league baseball players earn very little as well so new lower skilled mma fighters treatment similar. The low pay trade off for getting some visibility and experience.

I think there should be a threshold for exclusivity where fighters getting > e.g $50k or some reasonable amount but if less should not be able to require exclusivity. Fighters below $15k ridiculous exclusive enforcement.
