Waited for what exactly? Bisping wasn't even a contender when GSP rejoined the USADA testing pool. The expectation was that he would fight the winner of Rockhold -Weidman's rematch. Except Weidman got injured, Bisping stepped in on a weeks notice. And the rest is Bisping's fault for ducking legitimate contenders for a year.

And he didn't fight contenders after winning the belt? At this point you are both a troll and an idiot. GSP literally fought every top WW after winning the belt. Sure he had a couple of less stellar opponents like Hardy (Who was on a 7 fight win streak and ranked top 10 at the time) but everyone else was top shelf.

They literally had GSP and DW cageside with an active camera waiting for GSP to walk into the cage and challenge the winner. Then the record for fewest strikes ever thrown in a title was set (just to be broken by Izzy vs Romero).

Only because bisping was claiming injured and wanted to delay the fight too long.

Why the fuck would he fight Romero? The guy wasn't champ when GSP rejoined. Why would the former champ and consensus GOAT fight anyone not holding a belt?

Also you are now saying GSP was in control of who Bisping decided to fight? Bisping sat out with the belt for a year hiding for top guys (like Romero) with the exception of his fight with Hendo (a fight he should have lost btw). GSP was sitting and waiting for a title shot. Who he fought wasn't up to him. Hard to fight for a belt when a guy like Bisping is literally hiding from everyone.

If he really wanted, he would have said something before Luke lost his belt to Bisping.
That was half a year after he beat Weidman, so there were plenty of time.

Note: I don't doubt he might have thought about that. But it was obviously not something he was truly planning on doing, or else he would have announced something, and I am sure the UFC would have jumped on it right away.
