So they're telling us that in Vegas, any UFC fighter can snort a couple of grams in the locker room right before he walks in no biggie? That wouldn't be against the rules?

Fuck off. Coke is banned in competition. Don't start threads if you haven't read the hundred other on the subject. In fact don't fucking start threads.

you can take as much as you want as long as it doesn't show up on a post fight drug test..

so basically until 2-3 days before a fight you can consume cocaine

You will get tested and busted for cocaine if you use it close enough to the fight to where you still test positive on the pre and post fight drug tests.

For the uneducated, a coke high does not last long. 15-20 minutes tops. A fighter would have to snort a line between every round for it to be remotely considered performance "enhancing".

"Guillard tested positive for Benzoylegonine, a major metabolite of cocaine, following his loss to Joe Stevenson at UFC Fight Night 9 on April 5th."

Tested positive on Fight Night. In-competition.

They do not test for it OOC, they test IC, which starts 12 hours before the fight.

Yes. And he tested positive for it in-competition.

The in-competition test doesn't check for when you did it, just if it's in your system. If it were an out-of-competition test (ala Jon Jones) the Commission would not have grounds to suspend him.

The widely accepted time period for benzoylecgonine to be cleared from the urine is three to five days. One study suggests that high dose users (i.e., 0.5 gram or greater for each episode of use) can test positive after eight days. Another study claims that benzoylecgonine can be detected in heavy cocaine users for 10-14 days. The longest time over which positive urine levels of benzoylecgonine were detected was 10-22 days. This was after chronic use of extremely high doses of 112 grams per week.
