So now that Joe, Cruze, and Sonnen exposed that JUDGE WASN'T WATCHING the fight most of the time....

For those who pretend to follow MMA as if this wasn't on every MMA podcast and articles everywhere, and something Joe and Dom literally said on mic as commentators(u didn't even stream it then). This was both in the last Jones fight and the Valentina fight on the same card. It was the same judge who looked around and on his phone for minutes str8t mid-round.

That said, this fight was called correctly, unless hitting air counts as strikes.

Fighters need to start suing athletic commissions every single time something like this happens. Even if they lose they‘ll make enough noise and eventually the athletic commissions will stop hiring these clowns.

Fighters unionizing would give a bit more weight to their gripes as well.

 

The judges need to know what is MMA to begin with. They still think it's boxing with punches on the ground.

Every ref should have to endure 5 minutes of grapplefuck from a high level wrestler/bjj guy so maybe they think twice about their ridiclous stand-ups and seperations

Judges should only be people that thought themselves or are knowledgable coaches, not those morons who don't even know wtf they are watching.

 

Every judge and referee should have to explain their actions to the commission if a fighter files a complaint.

Eventually the shit ones will be removed because the commission doesn't want to deal with the shit it brings

 

Didn't the commission try to say that the judge was watching a monitor on the floor or below the desk or something?

I read somewhere that the judges had monitors they could have been watching. But that could just be BS.

who's to say that they dont do this already? commissions are extremely tight lipped about A) admitting mistakes B) disciplining officials and C)reversing decisions

I think the live round by round revealed scoring is the way to go, would make things more interesting for sure

Cruz said he thought it was a commissioner.

Theres also multiple judges per card so they dont all do all fights.

Iwouldnt take Rogan or Chaels word for anything to be honest
