Absolutely insane. I've never sleepwalked before and I've been taking Stilnox (ambien) periodically for over a year without problem. It's like a miracle drug for me as I've been a chronic insomniac my whole life. I fall asleep straight away, stay asleep and feel rested the next day. Until today.

So last night I had two glasses of wine while making dinner. An hour later, at about 10:30, I had a stilnox (as I'm in a crazy insomnia streak) and went to bed. I woke up very early with my bedroom light on and door wide open. I also had a hangover, which was weird.

I get a txt from my housemates asking why I got blind last night. I'm pretty confused by all this at this point.

I then go downstairs and my housemate, who's up, begins to tell me that I came down at midnight, started pouring drinks into multiple cups and babbling to myself. He asked what the hell I was doing and I gave some sort of nonsensical response. I then alternated between watching TV, walking around outside and pouring more drinks into different glasses (including a mixture of tequila and white wine and several glasses of red wine).

I'm trying to piece together what happened, because I remember NONE of it. Our lounge was tipped over and there were footprints all over the tiles. I also took my pants off at some point because they were lying on the bench.

Had to call in sick for work because I was so scattered and hung-over today. Absolutely crazy. Will NEVER drink alcohol on the same day of taking stilnox again, and I'm considering never even them again. It's a pretty dangerous drug and the stories are true.

Anyone else have any loopy sleepwalking stories, zolpidem induced or not?

If I were planning on committing murder and using sleepwalking as an excuse, this is how I would start laying the trail.

Did you stick any pillows in the oven?

Wolveswithkeys, thanks for beating me to the punch. Ya can.

I'm about 80% sure I didn't kill anyone.

I didn't think I would take my pants off and wonder around the yard at 2am, either.

Contrary to popular belief, you don't walk around with your eyes closed when sleepwalking. The housemate told me I was expressionless and looked 'lost'.

That would have been less funny in the movie, but.

You were mixing drinks for the girls you had your hot-tub in your room, you watched TV because you forgot about them, then you walked outside because you figured they left, you then took your pants off and headed up stairs in hopes they were still there. Unfortunately, they were not.

Welcome to my nightmare.

your night of sleep walking reminds me of a typical night in my 20s.

Maybe. Who knows what in was thinking.

My housemate just got home and told me I was talking about the house last night and saying 'we had a good run'. Apparently I was expecting my girlfriend to come over and I 'didn't get how things worked'.

I also made a cocktail of white wine, tequila and oats in a blender cup. With no pants.

I take it and go into a deep sleep for 7 hours or so. Just as it supposed to.

Mind you I follow the directions and don't drink and I have not been diagnosed with schizophrenia or depression so I shouldn't really be getting any of the crazy side effects.

Same thing has happened to me, I have taken ambien and found myself walking thru a ditch and jumping across railroad tracks, luckily no one is there to rape me.

Once I went to the UK (Cambridge), I thought I was going to go to bed took an ambien. I got up met up with some friends (for no reason) and drank, I don't remember why, anyway went to a club (don't remember any of this) grabbed some girls cigarette and smoked it, left, somehow got a ride to where I was a staying by some guy on a taxi bicycle, I woke up feeling really guilty and knowing I did something wrong.

I have never taken that sleeping pill but I have taken others. Luckily, I have never had a problem like that. I usually don't take them if I have been drinking alcohol, but it's happened.

Was your roommates pants lying alongside your pants? This is very important.
