I actually met Mike Kyle once at a 4th of July BBQ for recovering addicts. Neither of us were invited, but happened to crash the same event. We got picked on the same team for the group's softball game. He played third base so that anybody who made it that far would have little chance of scoring, what with the eyepokes, chest bites, and savage knees to the groin he was handing out. One guy slid for the base and Mikey soccer kicked him in the head repeatedly.
That about ended the game. Afterwards, we each made ourselves a plate and sat and talked. He was really soft spoken. He told me he was going to KO Cormier in practice to help him mentally prepare for the Jones rematch.
