i was winning 6-1 and the bastard pulled an armbar out of nowhere.... with 15 seconds left.. i felt like i could have held it but i didnt know how much time was left.. anyway this was my first tournament and i was doing beginner so i just made this post to let off some steam... and yes kip kollar is a doush and complained the whole time and even yelled at a ref on the mic.....
Similar thing happened to me. The girl says "30 seconds left" and me and the guy are sitting there because he keeps going for a leglock. Mind you I was winning only 1-0. But i wanted to pass his guard atleast instead of ending the match with such gayness. He grabs my toes.. and I tap before he's able to crank anything. I'm sure I could've fought it but it's beter to be safe than sorry. He ended up getting first place. Oh well.. I'll be doing as many tournamnets I can. Losing or winning, it's still fun to know you represented your school and did your best. I'm glad I train at the best school in america. It makes tournaments easier.
I just wast confident in my toehold defense. Plus I had just came back from an injury. Also what was I gonna get for not tapping? It was my first tournament, I'm ready to represent my team once again and come home with the gold.
I'll take Kipps whining in over the shittily run tournaments I've been to. He complains, but hsi tournaments are ran very well.
