Well apparently they told him to stop and ruled him out, I don't think he was given any options. Also Dana thought he could still get a title fight in Pettis at the time. However I'm happy they are letting Al fight, he was the best option.I don't think Max would have taken the fight without being able to win the belt. It's too much risk for him with no upside.
