I think the fight makes sense tbh. It's a superfight I'd like to see, not only because we can end the myth that DC was some GOAT at HW (I think Stipe comes out and starches him in the first round) but because Reem vs Ngannou fighting means the winner of that won't be ready until like April, Stipe needs a fight. It's a cool fight and all, and with no clear #1 contender at either HW or LHW, it's not too Bisping-y (Conor-y?), as in the divisions aren't really on hold while these two fight (on the contrary, it gives time for contenders to emerge).

My problem is these so-called journalists creating a story, so that they can later report on it. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy, and it's job security, and it's not a new phenomenon, but it just reeks.

I like it only because i'm tired of seeing the same title fights at 205. Gus should fight for the vacant title vs some1 else and DC can bring the HW title back to AKA. Cain isnt in his way from being a 2 weight class champ with him injured until 2029. Being a double champ is all the rage lately and it will most likely get him more money.
