Because the blonde guy is the only one who can give DC a decent fight in the division, all the rest of the rooster has no chance.
 
Until Jones comes back and beats DC for the belt again. Then Jones will fuck up again and DC will win the "belt" for a third time and still never really feel like a champ
 
Wide open for Gus to become champ. That first fight was so close and he is still young.
 
I am up for this rematch. Dc will retire soon. It might be compelling for other guys to hold belt when hes gone.

Glover vs DC would be interesting enough.

Lol at "decent fight". Gus beat him up way worse than any other fighter DC has ever faced other than Jones in their rematch.
 
I’m sure lhw and hw prospects will come to the ufc soon

I think DC will fight Gus again next summer and, if he wins, perhaps call it a career.
 
Dear Thor, no more Gus gifted title shots please! He is 3-3 in his last 6 fights, with wins over Glover, Jan Blachowicz, and Jimi Manuwa and they hardly warrant title elimination status.
 
Sounds like Dana practically wants to hand DC a HW title shot. So maybe that...
 
Not sure if it makes sense to just give the guy who has the best chance of winning a titleshot on that merit alone.

Gus almost beat DC in their first match but since then he only accumulated 2 wins- which would be fine if we weren't dealing with a guy that had 2 title shots already.

I'd like to see DC/OSP and DC/Shogun before Gustafsson takes that belt.
 
Would love to see Gus win the strap. The guy put roided Jones in hospital and Jones ran to the hills from the remetch
