From Tuesday until now we all got played. I would almost guarantee that this was his plan all along. Make the world sweat it out for a few days with his cryptic text, make a big stink that no fight fan or sports fan can get away from and then try to make Dana do what Conor wants. I don't know if it will work but we will see.

He's saying that he doesn't want to do what makes him the most popular, because it's obviously not his fighting. He's saying that he is trying to change a lot for this Nate fight, which isn't a great sign since another thing he usually does is try to beat people up mentally before the fight. He's saying that Nate is such a bad ass that he should take time away from his camp because he can afford to and Conor himself can't afford to.

The problem is he is already becoming the boy who cried wolf and no one likes that. Not only did he cry wolf but he's now no longer willing to sell wolf tickets. It's all very odd and stinks of the end of Connor's aspirations outside of feather weight. Overall the guy is trying to negotiate, which I'm all for because he draws but I think it sucks that he's using retirement to do that. He's playing the fans and hoping by doing that, he can play Dana F White. Good Luck.

Well that was my initial reaction -- Conor was just doing a publicity stunt. No way he's retired.

It was hardly a cryptic message. My dog could decipher it lol. And when you are the biggest star in the company you can get away with things Jimmy Wallnstall couldn't.

It's special treatment both ways, they don't give anybody as much promoting to do as they give to Conor.

His latest statement must be the single most hypocrticial pile of rubbish I've seen from any fighter ever. He's always been running his mouth about how fighters need to be promoting like he does, and now that he's coming off a loss he wants special treatment.

Conor is the 8 year old who's been much too spoiled by his bald headed daddy, so whenever daddy doesn't give him the special attention he craves, he throws a fit.

I wish dana would fire him. Would be hilarious. But we all know he'll cave into Conor's demands. Their whole love affair is just ridiculous.

Most successful people are sore losers. It's why they are so successful.

Lol it was the press conferences that he bragged so much about, that got himself so big! what hapenned? did Nate changed your BUM life? Picking Aldo and RDA was easy! Nate is another level

Congrats on creating a thread for an opinion you could have posted in any of the existing ones...

Your own thread... bet you are so proud :D

Agreed TS but Dana White would never let that happen. Still his cash cow.....

Go post this in the main thread at the top of the UFC page, it doesn't need its own thread.

He deserves special treatment to be fair.
Do you think Tom Brady, Lebron James or Messi get preferential treatment over other players on the team?

McGregor has earned it. If anyone else on the roster doesn't like it, let them go earn the company hundreds of millions and then open their mouth about it.
