The way ex-MW fighters perform really solidify Anderson as the GOAT by a long margin to other fighters

    Really, absurdly strong division..

GSP looked better against Shields than Silva looked against Maia.

Oh you talking about how some guy outside of the top 10 beat some other guy out of the top 10. Neither of them were people that Silva fought but yeah that definitely makes him the GOAT.

    PS. Anyone remember Nate Marquardt?

No he didn't. Silva dominated Maia the first three rounds. GSP won the first three against Shields but they weren't dominant at all.

That's a horrible attempt at MMA math.

Maybe in Mixed Musical Arts he dominated Maia. But at no point of an MMA fight did he dominate Maia.

It's using the TS logic against him... he's trying to claim that Paul Harris beating Mike Pierce somehow makes Silva the GOAT.

And your serious? Why bc to guys moved down from 185 and fought? That's like having 2 WW move to LW, fight 2 guys barley in top 10 actually one isn't even close, and when they perform good say wow that WW division was tough?

He most certainly did dominate Maia for the first two and a half or so rounds.

I think WW is overrated. Everyone says it's the most well rounded division but it's basically just the division with the most wrestlers

Shields is himself evidence of the superiority of WW. He's a natural WW who has had plenty of success at MW. And the fact that a former WW title contender just beat a former MW title contender at his own game is clear evidence...

Marquardt is 1-2 at WW. His only win was against the smaller Woodley, who is lukewarm and was winning most of the fight anyway. In his second WW fight, he lost a lopsided decision to Saffiedine, who is fringe top 10. Then he was brutally KOd in the first round by Ellenberger, who is legit top ten. Lombard and Palhares will have similar fates, though they will likely do better because of their enormous strength.

Woodley is a huge WW. Wouldn't say he was much smaller then Nate if at all
