So Are These Electronic Music Shows Just Made For Drugs?

Hello people of Mayberry, I've been seeing a trend for a few years now in the youth that are my peers. They go to these fucking dubstep shows to sell and do drugs. I wouldn't have any problem with anybody doing this all the time, Problem is it's become religious for them to go to these "Festies"

From first hand experience of dealing with these people, it's clearly not about the music and one of their friends recently overdosed and had a seizure at a show from mixing all sorts of retarded pharmaceuticals with ketamine and the "Pure" molly their friend gave them. He still continues to go to these shows despite this.

Most of the people they meet at these shows are scumbags and look down on you for not wearing a stupid fucking grassroots hat with Pins like This

I would have no problem with these people if they didn't claim to represent the enlightened mind by doing so many hard drugs that they sit there worse than a zombie.

So my question to you, are these shows made for the known profit of selling drugs to kids, or are these actual artists with a message, because so far I haven't seen anything in this scene that makes me believe it's all about the music. Which will kill it for the DJ's that actually dig it.

Its not just for the drugs but they sure do help create a beautiful synergy.

Most people are there to do drugs and just have fun, but a lot of people are there for the music too.

This one time, I was at this electronica show and the song was all, "spacebar, spacebar, tab, tab, spacebar spacebar tab tab - ALT ALT ALT!"

    It was amazing.

I'm guessing yes. Just like Grateful Dead shows. No drugs = no audience.

A friend of mine bought me a ticket for Road to EDC in November. I'm going just because I've never been to one of these before and I heard there are mostly naked girls allover the place.

Yes. It's all about drugs. Trying to sell in there is very, very risky. For the few bucks you'd make per bean it isn't worth it. Normally people just eat the pills before they get in.

DUBSTEP is the reason the festival you went to is shitty.

I been to a few Psytrance/Goa/Downtempo raves/festivals back in the high school/college and they were amazing experiences. Then again Psytrance is way better musically than Dubstep ever will be
