SNL and MSN Are Pushing Horribly Dangerous Narrative

By what standards

Republicans pretended to be the party against warmongering this election, but the Secretary of Defense is now a general famous for his love of battle and killing.

So by the standards of those that are genuinely against aggression and war (and don't just bullshit about it for a few months), this is a worrying pick.

"Electoral college victory IS a popular vote victory, just like it was in the primaries."

Not true. The electors from 21 different states can vote for whoever they want without violating state law. Most voters probably don't know this.

Not only that, overturning the will of the people in cases where some dangerous, proto-tyrant won the election was the SPECIFIC REASON the Founders chose to incorporate a system into the Constitution that involved using living electors casting individual votes weeks after the general election.

It's amazing how ignorant the right's Liberty Gang is concerning US history.

What the fuck

Mattis is literally the opposite of famous for his love of battle and killing

He is famous for begging his opponents to avoid fighting because he doesn't want to kill them all, but also saying he will if he has to. Just google "general mattis quotes" and see what the top 5 are

As someone who lives in California amongst Californians, I'm very glad the electoral college exists and we don't get to decide national elections

IT'S OUTRAGEOUS! There is no KING of DUNCAN! Where do these shills come up with this crap?!

And yet it is still here. If it were as terrible as you make it sound, it would be long gone. How many of those suggested amendments were sent to the states for ratification?

The reason the electoral college is a well thought out system is it requires an candidate to get the support of a very broad base of our society. It balances the interests of the smaller states with those of the large In our vast and diverse country, this is more needed than ever.

You don't understand his mentality then.

Every Marine I know that was in when Mattis was still in the Corps has said he hated putting "his boys" in the line of fire but wanted them to be good at killing if they had to be thrown there.

Yeah, you are really wrong about that. Mattis is anything but a warmonger. He's an inspired pick, and the first thing Trump has done that has given me any confidence at all.
