Snacking between meals??

About how long after a meal should you snack, healthy snacking by the way, as in how long after breakfast and stuff? Thanks
 
why have a snack when you can have another meal?
 
I think when you think of it as a "snack" you tend to eat less healthily. Eat many MEALS: That means whole foods and healthy supplements, not prepackaged snack bars and the like.
 
Some of you are saying constant meals, and would that mean,
Breakfast
small meal
Lunch
small meal
Dinner
and that's it, and what would be considered a small meal, something like a small regular or grilled chicken salad? and as far as the snacking i was referring to, i was thinking something like almonds and fruit and things like that. Some advice?? Thanks
 
As long as they're not pork rinds, and aren't killing your appetite so you fall off schedule, then fuck it, eat.
 
It's every two to four hours. This is the most widely recognized method.

Something else to think about while we're on this topic...babies who are breastfeeding eat what, every 3-4 hours? Why do we ever stop eating that often?

So yeah, every 2-4 hours for the win.

I agree. but for a healthy snack depends on how much you workout, if you workout on a day to day basis, probably snack 1.5hour after a meal
 
7 meals a day for the win. Snacks are for pussies, eat man, eat! Just eat clean.
 
depends on your goals. i go for high protein low carbs and fat in between proper meals eg bananas, pine nuts etc just enough to tide you over till the next meal.
 
when bulking, I like shakes in between meals, cause there is a limit were my stomach and appetite cant take anymore.
