I'm not sure there is a better guy than him in the UFC. How can you not love Smilin Sam!? I just shot him a message on Facebook wishing him luck against Theodorou and I asked him if Theodorou is gonna shave his head after you knock him out, as Alvey proposed a hair vs hair match when he called Elias out sometime last year

That's awesome. I'm a fan of his. I remember on TUF when some pieces of shit threw his mattress in a pool or on a roof or something- Sam just let it go instead of flipping out like the rest of em.

He can take a shot and he hits pretty damn hard but I have seen at least two instances where he continues hitting an unconscious opponent when the dude is clearly out. I hate fighters that do that. You don't have to wait for the ref if you can tell the dude is out.

That is not his job. That's the refs job. He could ease up get single legged and end up losing the fight after that.

I wanted him to win and win.
He smiled so much I actually pulled for him. Refreshingly positive attitude instead of the mean-mugging shit most fighters do.

Gotta love Alvey, he seems overmatched quite a bit but still finds a miraculous way to comeback. Even in the Brunson fight when the ref stopped it, and it was a good stoppage, I still held out hope Sam would pull a comeback KO out of his ass. He seems like a cool dude also.
