hi im looking for thai / kickboxing gloves i may have to use 16s instead of 14 oz but my hands and wrists are small and most feel to big for build im 5 foot 5 65kg any one know any gloves that will work for me

Im the same height, really tiny hands but for 16oz gloves the RT-41s, any Sabas gloves, Winnings, and the Triumph United Death Adders fit the best.

i wont be able to get hold of any of those how are fairtex bgv1 thay look small or bgv9 never worn them ive used twins they are massive and unusable

12oz Velcro Cleto Reyes trainers weigh 16.5oz

i cant afford Cleto Reyes they are about £200 were i live my limit is about $90

Fairtex BGV1's are great gloves, I love Fairtex and own several pairs of different styles. For Thai I wear BGV1's for boxing I wear BGV6 for sparring and BGV9 for bag work.

whats the smallest of the Fairtex gloves would you say ?

Maybey try Machina boxing, as that is gear for smaller female sized fighters.

shipping too high so kills the deal on the Machina gloves good idea though

Not to sure to be honest, I'm 5'10 but have long fingers. Their gloves seem to be made to fit all well. With a good amount of room but padding that is tight and forms to your hand no matter the size. It's hard to say as everyone has a preference with what glove suit them. You could try Twins, but I imagine they'd be much the same as Fairtex in sizing.

Boons are pretty dang snug and they are known for their strong wrist support.

When you first get them they are always little bit "too" snug regardless of your hand size but they will "break in" and form nicely to your fists in a couple sessions or so.
(put athletic tape or duct tape over any parts of your fingers that might get rubbed too much during the break in, you'll know which parts those are in only a few minutes;) )

A little outside of your budget. But for £86.00 including international shipping, not a terrible price for a well reviewed glove. You might want to check in with all the other mid range custom glove makers on their cheaper stock options. UMAs, Sabas, Topboxer, Zeus, Technoir has a thread in the review section. Though I think Juan ( Technoir) doesn't have stock options. You're probably looking at 100-110ish for a good quality Winning style or Mexican style glove. I tried most major muay thai style glove and just dont like them. The shorter cuff and wider profile is not for me. I imagine if you didn't like Twins, you probably won't like the fairtex BGV1's either. I have seen reviews that the BGV9's have a similar shape to Cleto Reyes. But personally I would rank any of the above mentioned brands over BGV9's. I think the Western boxing style gloves like Winning's style, Mexican style, or even the Torpedo shaped Top Ten's will be more agreeable to your small hands.

Booster is a moderately priced glove and have the smallest hand compartment of all my 16 oz gloves (and actually only weigh 14.5 oz)

hi guys ive been looking the BGV9 is probably a big fit as i seen a fightstore review on youtube the cuffs are very long and he had alot of space inside
the BGV1 do seem smaller i emailed them and they said someone my size would be better off with 14 0z

Western boxing style cuffs tend to be longer, but most people don't seem to have issues doing muay thai/kickboxing with them. Im a muay thai enthusiast myself, and prefer my winning's 10oz/16oz for all my training. Sabas, UMA, Top Boxer, RingtoCage all make well reviewed mid range (100-110$) Winning's style gloves. If you still want a thai brand, I'm of no use as I stopped using Thai brands years ago lol.

King or Top King would be good for small hands and they're quality sturdy gloves.

BGV9's are strictly a boxing gloves, the cuff is longer to provide support for the wrist. Muay Thai you don't really want that support as it would effect your clinch. BGV1's are the best bet for you.

You should buy fairtex bgv1 breathable more compact than bgv1
