I remember people couldn't wait for these two to face off in the UFC. What a letdown that was :/

Nah just another case of Mir running out of gas early.

They are 1-1 btw in grappling matches, Mir subbed Nelson before this in 10 seconds via kimura.

Can see that Mir's cardio is as good now as it ever was (not).

    And Roy's tenacity!

Real talk. I have the feeling Barnett/Mir, if it were to happen, wouldn't live up to what people are thinking.

Anyone notice Sherdog (Jeff Sherwood) taking photos during the match?

Mir is the most beastly 3 minute fighter on the planet.

In fairness, Big Country claimed to have walking pneumonia for that fight. I don't always believe fighter excuses, but Nelson was clearly not at his best. Conditioning is not usually a problem for him.

Unfortunately there is no footage of it that I'm aware of.

Hard to say who would win now if they competed again, that vid was in 2003-4, and that was the Frank Mir that did not take training seriously. They are both different athletes now.
