Yeah.... I don't think so and neither do most MMA fans. Most fans know Conor took two years off to box and party, then got in the ring with Khabib with no tune-up. It was crazy but so was boxing the 49-0 Floyd. Regardless, the same people saw Conor back in form against Cowboy and stronger than ever. Michael Jordan lost when he came back from baseball. A year later, 3 more championships. Khabib was in the right place at the right time, like Hakeem Olajuwon was the years Jordan was off. Conor will defeat Khabib next fight and Khabib knows it, which is why he's talking about fighting Floyd. His style doesn't last. The wrestlers get KTFO as they get older by better strikers.
 
Skip is a casual. He only knows 3 fighters in the UFC:
Khabib, Conor, and Cerrone.

We can talk about 'should....doesn't deserve....needs to work way up" etc, but the glaring fact is this is a business and this previous fight about doubled any PPV ever done by the UFC. And in the style it ended, and with Conor restoring his stock, the rematch will do better metrics. WME does not care about 'the sport' or 'integrity' of rankings, etc. They spent 4 billion to buy a business asset that would make them more money and give back to all those invested in their company, like stock holder Tom Brady. You think Giselle cares about 'muh rankings'? Heck naw! If you too were a share holder, you'd want the 3 million PPV more than Gaethje and Khabib doing 300k. One Khabib Conor fight out grosses the entire year and that makes the fight inevitable, especially with this ownership.
 
Skip Bayless is a doofus. Khabib/Ferguson is one of the best fights to make in MMA.
