I'm 5'10" and I weigh 155 lbs, so I'm a fairly skinny guy, but seems like all my weight is in my lower gut, how the hell do I get rid of this?? What causes it?? I rarely drink beer, and I eat pretty decent. Doing sit-ups helps it in a very minimal way, maybe I'm not doin it right. Can somebody help me out??

Monkeyguy - you can't get rid of a fat gut without losing weight all over. Situps are a good exercise but by themselves won't do a thing for it. Diet / exercise and lift weights regularly and it may slowly reduce.

Some guys have genetics that need to get to very low BF% to eliminate that gut.

You forgot cardio :icon_chee . You don't need to actually lift weights to drop a gut.

Here is a suggestion. 30 minute jog in the morning, 30 minute jog in the afternoon. Try to do about 200 situps everyday, as you build fortitude increase repetitions. If you keep a good diet in about 3 months that gut is replaced with a washboard stomach.

Is it possible that you are actually under weight?

Im actually having a similar problem - My chest and upper abs are flat but i have a strange gut.

Ive noticed it slowly becoming smaller since increasing cardio - but i think it will take a lengthy period of time for it to be totally gone so just keep at it.

Spot reduction is a myth. All you can do is exercise right and eat right.
