Hi guys,

I'm 6'2" and 210 lbs. Currently I have a Koral Classic gi, size A3, which is pretty baggy and I'm shopping for a new gi.

I'm thinking about purchasing the Padilla & Sons Lightweight gi, and based on their sizing chart I would be an A4.

Given the bagginess of my Koral gi, I'm thinking about bucking the size chart recommendation and going with an A3. Didn't know if anybody had any experience with the fit of the Padilla & Sons and could give me insight into whether that is a good idea or not.

Thanks for your time.

Have you called the number provided on the matrat.com webiste? From what I've heard Joe would gladly talk to you and recommend the correct size. Here is the phone number listed: 562-496-2612

how long are your arms? I have a P&S A3 and the body is baggy but the arms are just barely ok, but I have super long arms. I also have the gold weave and not the light weight.

I believe you're an A3. I also think you're in-between sizes. You can always shrink the gi. I have the P&S lighweight gi and their cut is more tapered.

I guess we'll see soon. I talked to Patty today at P&S (who was incredibly nice) and she thought that in her experience I'd be their A4. She also reiterated that their gi will shrink.

The nice part was that she told me there was absolutely no issue with returning for an A3 if needed, as long as the gi had not been worn in class or washed. She also told me that I could mix/match A3/4 if needed.

Looking forward to trying it on when it gets here in a couple of days.

We'll be waiting for your review. :icon_chee
