The Six Nations starts on Saturday!

Last year France won the Grand Slam and they are hosting the Rugby Union World Cup this autumn. Ireland are the favourites this year but the odds are against anyone getting a Grand Slam. Here's hoping England do well!

1st Saturday Results

Wales 10 - 34 Ireland
England 23 - 29 Scotland

Ireland were impressive and justified the hype. Scotland beating England was rather unexpected and I'm not sure if Scotland are that good or England were just bad.

Italy put up a brave struggle and led at times but it wasn't enough.

England looked more expansive but much less solid than under Eddie jones. Scotland are a good team, and scored a couple of works class try’s but if they can run 4 try’s past us at Twickenham, then we’re gonna really struggle against the french and Ireland

2nd Saturday Results

Ireland 32 - 19 France
Scotland 35 - 7 Wales

Ireland and Scotland are both off to good starts. Ireland have now won 13 home games in a row, their best run ever. They have snapped France's run of 14 wins in a row, a record for them. Wales have lost their 1st 2 games in the 6 Nations since 2007.

Wales are not having a good tournament! 0 points and -62 point difference. Ireland justifying their favourite status with maximum points and 100 points scored in 3 matches!

William and Kate were at Wales vs. England. William says he supports both Wales and England but Wales 1st in rugby.

3rd Sunday Result

France 32 - 21 Scotland

Scotland had a man sent off after 6 minutes. But France had 1 sent off after 11. They're a lot stricter on head impacts now.

3 teams on 2 wins and 10 points - competition for 2nd place is hotting up and the next matches could be crucial! Scotland will presumably lose to Ireland so the winner of England and France could take it!

4th Saturday Results

Italy 17 - 29 Wales
England 10 - 53 France

Wales get their 1st win on the board and climb off the bottom of the table.

This was England's heaviest ever defeat at Twickenham or in the 4/5/6 Nations and a lot of fans left early.

Ireland still flawless. Mathematically France can still catch them. Can England deny Ireland the Grand Slam next week and pip Scotland to 3rd place? Can Italy get a win on the board?

5th Saturday Final Results

Scotland 26 - 14 Italy
France 41 - 28 Wales
Ireland 29 - 16 England

England's full back Freddie Steward got an absurd straight red card just before half time which shouldn't even have been a penalty. This could have influenced the result of the game.

Ireland take the Grand Slam and are the best team in the Northern Hemisphere! Wales were dreadful. France can still be positive going into the World Cup, which they host in September/October.
