Even though Connor stood up easily I am sure some wrestlers want to be there against Connor

The one where he faked being knocked down and then shot in was pretty slick. I'm not sure if those would've counted as takedowns in a wrestling tournament though.

Those weren't takedowns. Conor's back never touched the canvas, Siver never controlled the positions.

It's crazy what some people will call takedowns when it fits their narrative.

Took him down for a fraction of a second each time before Mcgregor was right back up and cracked him for the privilage.

He stopped trying to take him down after that.

It's a different strategy. I'm sure takedowns wouldn't be the biggest worry for Conor. It would be the fact that he has to alter his stand-up to prevent them.

In that regard he may get tagged a lot more than usual. Aldo isn't Conor's toughest match-up in the division. Mendes might be. If you include 155lb Khabib certainly is more challenging than Pettis.

Fightmetric considered Siver 0/3 in TD attempts.

I doubt Conors main worry was the TD in this fight. And considering Siver couldn't get Conor pinned to the canvas meant he really didnt have to think about it.

It'd still be really interesting to see how he holds up vs Chad Mendes.

I don't trust those fightmetric tracker things. I saw at least two that I'd count as TDs, but they didn't seem to help Siver much. That being said, imagine what Mendes would do to him after seeing that.

    Yekmurat,

Get over to your local library, burrow an ESL book, and get the fuck outta here.

    Worst regards,
    TheMMABettor

*PS* Easiest money I've ever made was betting Conor in every parlay I made this evening including the football.
