First, let us acknowledge that both Khabib and Tony are great fighters.
Second, let us acknowledge that both Khabib and Tony have the same "UFC winning streak" numbers.
However, third, let us acknowledge that is where the similarity ends.
Let us now examine their differences ...
PREMISES:
* Khabib = 28 - 0 (100% WINS)
* Tony = 26 - 3 (90% WINS)
* Khabib has never lost a round (1 if you count Conor)
* Tony has lost 15 rounds.
* Khabib has never been knocked down
* Tony has been knocked down multiple times
* Khabib has never been cut
* Tony has been cut multiple times
* Khabib has never been dominated, never been on his back (more than a split second)
* Tony has been dominated many times, fore
CONCLUSION:
Tony will have no choice but to be on his back ... where he will realize Khabib's lifetime of experience dwarfs Tony's "last several years" of experience. Not to mention Tony has never faced anyone with Khabib's stamina, aggression, or experience either.
Tony gets dominated a lot on the ground by lesser fighters than Khabib. Tony is good at "catching people" while being dominated ... but he has faced no one with anywhere near the ground savvy of Khabib.
Meanwhile, Khabib has never been dominated on the ground, in his life, and has faced greater wrestler/submission fighters than Tony.
IMO, the above facts ... combined with the fact Khabib is in his absolute prime ... while Tony is past his prime ... equal the reasonable, sporting conclusion that Tony Ferguson will get dominated and either submitted or stopped by Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Mark my words.
