Everyone is so focused on the stand up portion of this fight but it seems like no one is discussing the ground aspect which I feel is being overlooked.

Personally I think Nick has better BJJ than Anderson however Anderson is bigger and likely physically stronger and is a Nogueira black belch himself.

    Will Nick outgrapple Silva?

Will Anderson be too strong and too aware?

    Will it be a stalemate?

It is quite possible that it will be the same as the ending of Sonnen vs. Silva I

Nick has better bjj, but after Anderson trained twice for Chael and twice for Weidman I don't see Nick taking him down.

  5. First off the only one that I see going for the TD is Diaz and I highly doubt he can take Anderson down but on the ground I would have to favor Anderson, they both are fairly even in BJJ skills (Diaz may be slightly better) but Anderson is bigger and stronger which will be the difference on the ground

Nick isnt known as a takedown machine and AS has stellar TDD so i doubt it matters who has the better BJJ

My thoughts are that Nick doesn't have great TD's, Andy defends TD's very well and even if it hits the mat i think Silva can defend and get back to his feet.

Anderson has a hard time with wrestlers just like Nick does, but Nick does have the luxery of working with Gilbert and Jake on the daily.. as long as Nick is stronger enough to move Andersons body , I put my money on Nick

Cyborg is far from a top level BJJ guy. Hes more of a brawler who developed some grappling skills over the years.

high level purple belt alert : Diaz definitely has the advantage on the ground, he has sneaky arm bars. The question is will he get on top? I don't see him submitting AS from his guard, but I can see it if he ends up on top.

Weidman is a better grappler than Diaz and Anderson was able to defend himself nicely and get back up in the first round of their first fight. I don't see Diaz submitting him if he somehow gets Anderson down.

Getting passed and mounted by one of the best wrestlers in the sport isn't that big of a deal, and it's not like Chael was able to do anything with that mount.
