I like Silva, but he's obviously borderline done at this point.

First sign of a shot fighter is when he can't let his punches go. He had a pretty easy target in front of him but he couldn't pull the trigger. The few moments he did let it go he lit up Bisping.

He's also old now and that's showing in his speed and reflexes. No shame in retiring at this point after he a great career.

I think so too. He can't get over his ego and quit dancing.

He has to accept that he can't matrix fighters no more. He keeps trying that. If anything the Diaz fight proved is that he is not hard to hit now. And his chin isn't as good as before.

I was screaming at the screen that he was trying to do what Nick did to him.
Too many head games, not enough fighting. If he pressured like he did at the end of every round throughout the fight there would be no debate

If you don't have technical defense from the beginning, it's near impossible to pick it up late. Silva survived on reflexes and a diverse arsenal. While his Arsenal is still diverse, the reflexes don't seem to be there anymore. Those reflexes also tie into his defense. A fighter doesn't have to be as tight on defense if they can use agility to get in and out of range. He can't get away any more.

He should fight his last fight in Brazil.

I always thought what really separated Anderson from the guys he was beating in his prime was his chin. He was like Chuck that way. Yeah, both had great striking but they could take shots that would put a lot of other guys away. I think his chin is about done since he got touched up by Weidman. It's not yet at the level Chuck was at the end but Andy likely won't be fighting a lot of high caliber guys with power at this stage. Certainly Bisping's always been known for his lack of power as much as anything else. The fact Silva keeps trying to showboat and fight like he did in his prime won't bode well for him if he does face guys with power.

The thread title was a little misleading. :p

Silva probably will not retire. The UFC is going to have to give him cans or he will probably sign with Bellator.

It's not Ultimate Dancing Championship. He lost the decision due to his no offense rounds.

I am 100% okey with the decision, if Anderson would have gotten it it wouldn't have been that bad either. I think Anderson lost because he didn't care about winning, obviously he wanted to win but mostly he wanna have fun which he did

I think he wanted to punish Bisping for the insults, but knew he couldn't, so resorted to "forgiving" and trying to hug, but Bisping pushed him away.

Reminded me of Crocop KTFO'ing, then much later after many injuries, high fiving on the clock.

wtf are you smoking dude? Silva has never been a volume puncher. He is a counter fighter. That's just a really stupid strategy against a guy like bisping who throws a ton and keeps moving. Silva isn't shot, he just fought a stupid fight considering his opponent.

He looked fine. Wouldn't be upset if he retired though.

Cant happen he signed a million fight deal not long ago. He is in the UFC until he retires.
