I've been out of bjj for a few years. What is the deal with this brand gi? It seems to be the most sought after gi now. I'm seeing some on ebay for well over $200. I'm curious as to why is it so expensive? Is that the retail price?

Retail is around $165 on average. They are the highest quality Gi you can buy with the most outstanding customer service, Vince takes care of all problems. SYR is sooo dope that a bunch of people handed over $400 a few weeks ago and still don't know what they bought. I would highly recommend buying their shit... I mean top quality merchandise.

They are not trying to make a profit from your desire to be a unique snowflake.

They do limited runs, so by the time you get any reviews of them, they're all sold out. I wouldn't bother, there's nothing about them, except maybe styling that would put them ahead of Fushida.

Don't you own some of this "top quality merchadise" that you speak of?

Thanks peeps. I'm very intrigued by the hoopla. I may get one, not now, one day.

Let's get this straight Shoyoroll is NOT the highest quality stuff you can buy. People just think it must be because it's the cool and rare thing. There has been many quality problems documented with threads and videos. There made in Pakistan after they are already pre ordered. They are no nicer than there "knock offs". I own 4 shoyorolls and 4 other brand Gis. I used to be a shyr believer then I realized they just make a new color combo on there computer then get everyone to buy the presale then 5 months later u receive a mediocre gi. I haven't had any major problems with a shr gi but I'm Definatley not purchasing anymore.

They make great gi but in presale.
And they're very slow in answering mail -__-"

I'm fluent in sarcasm, I think I might be reading some here lol

Personally I like how lightweight it is and I feel it has a great cut for my body type and the pearl weave is one of my favorites. I just hate how long it takes to get a hold of one but other than that I think they put out a great product. They look great and feel even better. Not perfect but overall it's pretty impressive.

They're the Apple of BJJ gear.....they make good, but not great products and charge a premium for them. And their fans will thank them for the privilege of paying it.
