Showtime Pettis moving to 145

Pettis vs Holloway.

I don't know if I'm the only one that thinks that but Holloway fought kinda like Pettis in his last fight, but in a agressive way. He had amost the same stance.

Remember when Pettis said he would go down to fight Aldo... Back when both of them were champions of their respective divisions?

Pepperidge Farms remembers.

I think he'll do much better at 145. We might actually get Aldo vs Pettis

He'd be the biggest 145er and will force Conor into retirement. Conor wants no part of 155 or 170. He'd die. Hell, even 145 right now due to Frankie and Aldo. He has nowhere left to run.

He has no explosiveness or power anymore. But I think he can beat some guys down there.

Been saying it for a while. He has a very slim frame. I think 45 will suit him much better. Should see an increase in his power against lighter fighters and I don't think his speed or.conditioning will be effected. Still needs to work on his hands though

He would do terribly against the top guys (Frankie, Aldo, Conor, Max and Chad all beat him). Jeremy almost beat him the first time fight was extremely close and gotten much better under Del Fierro since. I'd favor him to win and Ricardo as well. A fight with Cub would be amazing and a toss up. Dennis has the style to beat him clearly but he's chinny and hittable. He beats Ortega without much issues. I could see Barao going either way. I think he beats Charles. Elkins could grind out a round or two but I see Pettis edging a decision . I think Yair is gonna be a better version of Pettis not as good a guard but he's already a better wrestler. In a couple years guys like him, Mirsad and Choi would easily beat Pettis but they're still young now and Pettis experience craftiness could get wins.

I think at best he will be the #10 guy. Looking at the rankings he loses to almost everyone there honestly. FW >> LW not in terms of depth maybe but the ranked guys are better and prolly the best in the sport. He didn't lose to Eddie due to size BTW Eddie's smaller than him.

Crazy how things change. He seemed to be unbeatable at one point of time, now he has to go down in order to save his career.
He's definitely one of the fighters who didn't exactly benefit from the new uhm IV ban and stuff..

Best move for him to save his career. he looked very slim in his last 3 loses, he is barely any bigger than his brother these days who fights at 135.

BJ moved to 145 lbs. Edgar moved to 145 lbs. Bendo moved to 170 lbs. And now Pettis is moving to 145 lbs.

What the fuck is going on with the lightweight division that these former champs can't hang at 155? Talk about mad depth. LW is a shark tank.

Holloway is on a 7-8 fight win streak. If anything, Holloway should be fighting for the title. It doesn't make sense to propel Pettis into such a high spot.

Pettis/Mendes does make sense. Or it would be cool to see Pettis fight the loser of Edgar/Aldo.

He will still have pillows for fists no matter how much weight he cuts.

Mendes would put him on the ground for the entire fight. I don't want Pettis to stop fighting yet.

Good move, Stephens/Pettis sounds like a good 1st fight for him

Why would Pettis lose to everyone at feather?

Cub is a better choice. Stephens is a head hunter. Pettis will be on his bicycle (if he has 1 ounce of fight IQ) which would lead to boring win or loss unless he gets decapitated.

I didn't say everyone.

The top 5 are better fighters and bad matchups for him too outside Max who's just better. Lamas and Stephens are the only two others I'd be confident picking against him.
