Shouldn't they change weight class now?

    For WMMA in the UFC.

    Now, 115lbs, 135lbs, 145lbs.

    Should 135 become 130lbs?

Would help the smaller 135er and could add talent to the new 145lbs division.

If not, will they make a 125lbs division in the future?

They should change the weight classes to 1lb, 2 lb, and 3 lb then nobody can make weight and we don't have to have good cards saddled by shitty WMMA

There is no consistency or logic in anything the UFC or any major organizational body associated with MMA has ever done. It's just a hodge-podge, clusterfuck of rules and regulations slapped together into something vaguely resembling a sport.

Revise weight classes, implement a weight-cutting control program.
Implement harsher penalties for eye-pokes and fence grabbing.
Clarify criteria and encourage judges to use a wider range of scores
    Remove the 12-6 ban
I'll wait and see if the new wording for the downed fighter rule works.

If they do this then we may have a legit sport.

I'd prefer to see 125lb division just for the sake of seeing a few at their best fighting weight (most notably Joanna and Shevchenko)

    Not too fussed though, really.

Actually all these things were talked about this year
And many of these changes will take affect next year
    http://www.mmafighting.com/2016/8/2...-changes-to-mma-scoring-criteria-new-rules-in
New weight classes will take at least a couple though, the UFC can pick and choose which ones they want to use and they'll probably wait until a new TV deal is firmly in place and they have enough fighters to fill new classes.

12-6 elbows will be looked at in more details next year, there's a plan in place for removing them slowly http://www.mmafighting.com/2016/8/4...to-discuss-12-to-6-elbows-instant-replay-next

Yeah I think we will see in later 2017 or 2018 the 125lbs division
There is more talent on that (Maia, Porto, Bennett) , than the shitty 145lbs division, so I'm pretty confident it will happen

In fact, Bellator already have that division

I guess, but barely enough talent for 3 weight class, let alone 4.

JJ could be good at 130lbs too imo.

+ "bigger" girl will need to move up.

    145lbs would become pretty legit.

No, they should just add 125. Having a 20lb separation in weight classes at those weights is retarded.

I don't see anything referring specifically to what I mentioned in that article. But we're off topic so whatever.

I'm thinking women's divisions should just be based on cup size.

    A, B, C, and heavyweight

    Would make weigh-ins more fun

if they change 135 to 130, it would be 15.

But yeah, 15lbs is still huge for womens

I didn't read those, I just plucked two that had titles that seemed like they would be good summaries - I can pm you the podcasts that a couple MMA reporters did detailing everything that they talked about over the course of the meeting

You make sense. The talent is already thin as it is. I'm just thinking about my own instant gratification :)

So err.. no chance of 5 divisions then... Atomweight pixies trying to kill one another? We could just scout for tough and willing, young ballet dancers and cheerleaders, then send to Alpha Male haha

    A man can dream.

    What about?

    HW Limit - 270
    LHW Limit - 220
    MW Limit - 195
    WW Limit - 170
    LW Limit - 150
    FW Limit - 135
    BW Limit - 125

Is 15lbs too much for the gap between LW and FW? I don't know if this would be good or bad...just throwing something out there for discussion.
