My wife has been hand feeding this roadrunner by my house and I am wondering if she is hurting him by giving him free meals and taking away his need to hunt. It took her a while to gain his trust and now has him coming by the house to pick up the meal worms she leaves for him. Is she messing with his natural survivoring instincts?

The word you're looking for is "tame," not domesticate. Either way, your wife shouldn't be doing that imo.

Some predators can't be tamed.

People feed birds all the damn time, they are much simpler and a wild road runner would have no problems going back to straight fending for itself.

Now if you found a wolf cub and raised it in the backyard on dog food, it might have more of a problem

Harvey weinstein has been living with me now and it’s been a bitch trying to domesticate him

I heard if you start feeding a crow it'll start bringing you random gifts.

Does your name happen to be Wile E.?

Never feed squirrels.. I started feeding a few in my backyard, next thing you know they chewed through the screen on the kitchen window and broke in . One time I caught him inside on the table having a grib session.
