Should Werdum really be an underdog to Overeem?

I'm not sure that he should.

Yes, Overeem beat him before, but that was six years ago and Werdum has grown a lot as a fighter in that time. I'm not sure how much Overeem has evolved in that time though.

Current odds:

Overeem: -140
Werdum: +130

That make sense to you guys?
 
Should be a pick em in my eyes. They seem to cancel each other out.

I think Werdum has improved more than Reem but he still fights like a moron from time to time and tends to get sloppy and gas. Reem doesn't have the Uber Reem confidence anymore but has turned into Econo Reem and I think he can probably win a decision.

I think one thing we can agree on is that Overeem will not outgrapple Werdum.

Can Werdum get Overeem down? I think that's the big question. On the feet it favors Overeem, especially since Werdum doesn't have the kind of KO power that usually cracks Overeem's chin.
 
I think Reem is going to hurt him something early. Just a gut feeling.
 
Werdum has the better chin, but Overeem is the better striker. Hopefully it isn't a repeat of the second fight.
 
Werdum is brazilian. he was on shit, then USADA, His standup is trashy compared to Reem. Reem actually has a darn good ground game.
 
Werdum beat Overeem but lost to Ubereem.

I think Ecoreem will win this one
 
What's Werdum going to do other than fall to the ground and invite the Reem into his guard.

Those odds are too close to label Werdum the underdog, imo. It's basically a toss up fight, with the betting public leaning slightly towards Overeem. No problem with that.
 
I had a Werdum, Yoel, Valentina parlay for tonight. Obv gotta change it now with the chicks fight cancelled.

Well I mean, he IS an underdog, even if only a slight one.
 
Werdum will knock him out, I am calling it right now.
 
This is a fight where you probably have a better chance at picking by flipping a coin, so 1-1 seems fair. Or betting on whichever underdog.
 
I think it's fair to have hit as an underdog when you look at them stylistically and consider recent form, I didn't think Werdum looked great against Browne despite winning all rounds. Overeem did far better than any of Stipe's recent matchups, etc. But I think Overeem is a slight favorite at best.
