Should UFC judging be left to popular vote?

We've seen so much dogshit judging over the years, borderline corrupt.
At UFC 305, with Tai Tuivasa shit scoring and David Lethaby giving round 3 to DDP.

Judges, you have ONE job on the night.
Something a 12 year old can do better, let alone any casual fan watching can judge better.

It doesn't matter if they only, supposedly, pay you $300 to judge for the night; if you can't do it properly, don't do it.

Which leads me to wonder... should UFC judging go to popular vote?

I tend to agree with whatever the popular sentiment is, who won what rounds.
Whether talking to others in-person, on Sherdog, or r/mma or r/ufc, even twitter and instagram comments.

No, and it's a terrible idea. Too many people would just vote for their favorite fighter, or the fighter they bet on, or the fighter with the right political opinions, or the fighter with the preferred ethnic background, etc, etc, etc.

The MMA community constantly cries robbery when no such robbery has taken place.

Hated fighters would get screwed constantly, beloved fighters would be gifted wins. People would give the away fighters the win to avoid "home cooking" except in America of course because there's no bias there like there is everywhere else (lmao).

Not even getting into the cluster fuck that people betting on fights they also have a say in the judging of would cause. Give me incompetence over outright corruption any day.

We have incompetent people performing this job , we are not going to solve the problem by having a larger number of incompetent people all trying to do the job together at the same time .
They need to hire competent people
If the person applying for the judging position can’t explain what’s happening on the ground better than someone who just got a blue belt , then they are unqualified I don’t give a fuck who on the commission their related to
