Should there be a league for seasoned veterans, over the age of 40 or so, to fight in similar to Golf? Obviously retiring from the real UFC would be mandatory. It could be called sUFC or something. Maybe a few rule changes to make it safer for head injuries. Also maybe shorter rounds because the older fighters do not have as good of cardio. The league could even have age divisions such as 40+, 50+ etc.

This way we could still see legends with great technique perform against each other. e wouldn't have to see them get crushed by rising stars if they no longer wish to fight in the big leagues. It would allow the UFC to capitalize and still make money off of big names that can no longer compete in standard UFC.

EDIT: It should be called Master's not seniors as a post below me so eloquently stated.

In martial arts that would be known as "Masters", not seniors.

Not in pro MMA. Please no. Its OK in amateur though.

You shouldn't be fighting after 40+ honestly... There's nothing entertaining about seeing that.

no. but I'm not against having some legend/freakshow fights here and there, never as main event though.

wasn't strikeforce supposed to be a venue for aged fighters who were still popular?

The United Beer League and Gut Fighting Association.

The UBLGFA.

However, they should allow strikes with cannes and walkers to make it fair to oldest of the oldest fighters.

Why flip burgers at Burger King in your sixties when you can beat the shit of an older brother?

Chuck vs. Tito will finally happen.

is this a serious thread? what the fuck goes on in some peoples minds?

No. if you cannot compete anymore, it means you should retire. This isn't golf, quite the total opposite in physical demand.
