I don't actually have a picture of him to share, but it's a Yorkshire Terrier I believe.

Spitting image of him though.

The dog is being given away by my mom's friend and nobody has taken him yet. His name is Prince, he's 1 year old, and he's apparently been spoiled according to the owner. I never had a dog before, though I always wanted to have one. I always wanted a bigger dog that I could take out jogging on hiking trails or just around the block, but is this even a type of dog I could do that with? I wouldn't mind having the type of dog to sit around the house either though.
Thoughts or advice?

No.

Do yourself a favor and don't add another project to your day. Dog is far to much work.

Only if you can give the dog the amount of attention it needs. Don't give it a shitty life or i swear to god that dog will have a shitty life.

Yes! Give the lil guy a good home!

I've been around those little dogs before and they're really friendly and sweet natured.

wut

Had a number of yorkies through my life, great litte dogs from my experience. Despite their size they do love a good walk and if they get tired you can always put them in your pocket. Win-Win, imo.

I would say yes if you have the time to properly look after it. They can be yappy little fockers but also very loving and are cute as punch.

as long as youre not Korean

The redundancy in that sentence is palpable.

So what type of path do you think would be too much for him? And could he keep up with a jog?

Hey guys should I add a bunch of chores and annoying stresses to my life? Should I make it way harder to travel, even just a weekend getaway? Should I get rid of a bunch of money?
Should I significantly increase the level of microscopic filth in my house and on my clothes? And should I do all this just so I have something to hug? Or should I just get a teddy bear?

This thread will end with 23 pages of pitbull bite statistics.

But this would add volumes to my Tinder game though.

Never tired jogging with a yorkie lol and if the excercise thing is a big deal then get a different breed, imo.

I should add that I used to have a dog and I loved him more than I love most people in my life. But I will never get another one.

He was a silky terrier. Similar to the one posted.
